Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy
For
Bliss Health and Beauty
As long as government guidelines stay the same Bliss Health and Beauty are planning to re open on Saturday 4th July. If you would like to book an appointment or have any questions please either email blisscorsham@outlook.com or call 01249 714848 where the call will be diverted to my home number.
Many of our regular clients will be aware that Megan is approximately 5 months pregnant. We are all delighted for her, but have decided in the interest of Megan and the baby’s safety, Megan will only be returning to Bliss after her maternity leave.
We have missed being able to offer you the treatments that we know you love, and we are looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.
Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon we have implemented a number of changes which we would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been closed, we have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. We have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.
Booking Appointments
We aim to offer a more exclusive use of the salon with appointments being staggered and only two clients in the salon at a time along with two therapists.
The therapists will be temperature checked each day and will undergo more health and safety training. For you and the therapists safety we will be wearing a face mask. Depending on the treatment a full visor may also be worn.
If any of our staff feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the salon. This may mean that we have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again or ask for a full refund / voucher.
If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness/ other.
* Please don’t bring anyone else with you to your appointment.
* The front door will be kept locked and only opened at the time of your appointment.
Visiting the Salon
For your safety and to maintain social distancing, we ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you come into contact with other clients who are just leaving. Unfortunately if you are late we may have to shorten your appointment.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client . In order to achieve this we are allowing a 15 min between appointments.
All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.
Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.
We will have hand sanitizer available for you to use when you come into the salon.
Face masks must be worn on entering the salon and you may wish to wear disposable gloves when you visit the salon and during your treatment is this is appropriate.
We can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority we can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees C
All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.
Our treatments
We have carried out a risk assessment on all treatments and we are confident that we can continue to provide these safely.
During your treatment
Our staff understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that We wash our hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.
As you can see we want to make your visit to Bliss as safe as possible for yourself and our staff. Our policy will be to book out an extra 15miuets between all appointments and stagger appointments so that you should only come into contact with your therapist. Unfortunately single shorter treatments e.g. an eyebrow tidy will no longer be financially viable. We want to keep Bliss Health and Beauty a strong business for years to come and would ask you to support us in this decision. It is therefore with regret we now have to ask for either a minimum 30 minuet appointment or have a minimum charge of £16.00
If you have any concerns about your treatments please let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.
After the treatment
In order to avoid handling of cash, we would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by card / or in advance using bank transfers.
Thanks you for your understanding.
